The Laderas del Tapias’ history is closely related to the production of specialty coffee. The farm was purchased and the land conditioned by pioneers of specialty coffee in Colombia during the decade of the 1980’s. Laderas del Tapias currently has an excellent coffee processing facility. The beneficiadero has the capacity to dry coffee both ways: mechanical and natural sun dry, the last one used for drying the best coffees of the farm. As most of the washed Arabica, the coffee produced in Laderas del Tapias is processed in a very manual way, almost artisanal. This kind of processing looks for keeping the quality of the coffee.
